Montessori In Town Is Growing…….Growing to Meet the Needs of
More In Town
Neighborhoods!
Montessori In Town proudly
announces the expansion to a third Primary classroom in Grant Park for
Fall, 2008. We will be occupying an historic building in the Glen
Castle complex, located at 750 Glenwood Avenue, S.E. The setting
provides ample space indoors and out for the fully implemented program
as defined by Association Montessori Internationale (A.M.I.), the
governing organization established by Dr. Maria Montessori in 1929 to
ensure and uphold her standards around the world.
With this addition we will be
able to serve more children and families. We are pleased to be
situated for easy access from not only Grant Park, but Ormewood Park,
Cabbagetown, Old Fourth Ward, East Atlanta, Kirkwood, Oakhurst,
Reynoldstown, and south Decatur among near by neighborhoods.
Our staffing will increase to
a third A.M.I. Primary trained teacher, classroom assistant and a full
time Educational Director who will support the entire school.
Informational sessions to find out about Montessori and our school are
scheduled for Monday, May 5 from 6 to 7:30 on the campus of Glen Castle;
Thursday, May 15, Tuesday, May 27 and Thursday, June 5 (all from 9 to
10:30 AM) at Stone Soup Kitchen 584 Woodward Avenue.
Please call or e-mail your attendance. Also, all interested
families will be asked to make an appointment to observe the current
location, 1085 Ponce de Leon Avenue in Poncey-Highland during the
school year, as part of the Admissions process. Please call or e-mail
to set up those appointments soon. Our current school year ends on May
23.
The start of school for both
locations is scheduled for August 18 . Please look at our Programs
and Admissions headings for specifics information regarding our
offerings and procedures for Admissions.
We look forward to meeting new
neighbors now and into the summer!
